GENERAL
These terms and conditions (“Online Store Terms”) apply to all transactions concluded with you, the customer, when you shop at the maidenchandlery.co.uk website (“the Website”). Please read them carefully before placing your order and print a copy for your future reference. By registering at the online shop you accept and agree to be bound by the Online Shop Terms & Conditions which constitute the entire agreement between you and Maiden Marine Ltd (“Maiden Marine, “we”, “us”).
Maiden Marine reserves the right to alter these Online Store Terms & Conditions from time to time.
References in this document to "the online stop" refer to Maiden Marine online shop at http://www.maidenchandlery.co.uk operated by Maiden Marine.
The Online Shop Terms are subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If any Online Shop Terms shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that Online Shop Term shall be severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Online Shop Terms.
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS
We are only able to take orders through the online shop for delivery to the countries listed on the checkout pages. If the country that you require delivery to is not visible then we will not be able to process your order.
We validate your order you submit to use and PayPal validates payment you submit to them before your order can be accepted. Once that has been done, we will confirm that your order has been received by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address you provide in your registration form. Our confirmation of your order brings into existence a legally binding agreement between us.
We accept all orders for products and services subject to availability and certain security checks.
Payment will be debited to your account before the dispatch of your purchase. All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. We will not be liable for any delays to your order this may cause. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us or you fail our security checks, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCTS
If online shop products become temporarily unavailable, we shall hold your order until we have the product back in stock and will then mail the product to you in the usual way. In the event that an individual product becomes permanently unavailable then we will seek to offer you a suitable alternative or give you a full refund.
COLOUR REPRODUCTION
Maiden Marine has made every effort to reproduce colours in the online shop as accurately as possible. However, different computers reproduce colours in slightly different ways, and so exact colour matches are not yet possible over the internet. This means that when you order products from the online shop, colours may differ from what you see on the screen. If you are not satisfied with the colour of the product you have ordered, we operate a returns policy (see "RETURNS POLICY" below).
PRODUCTS AND PRICING
All product prices include Value Added Tax (“VAT”) where applicable. These may change in line with UK government, Customs and Excise, EU directives, and other legal interpretations issued by relevant authorities. Promotions and prices you see in Maiden Marine Chandlery at Ferry Nab, Bowness on Windermere and catalogues do not necessarily apply to the online shop, and vice versa.
Import duties and local taxes are NOT included in the quoted price of goods being delivered to outside the EU. You will be responsible for the paying of any and all import duties and local taxes including any administration charges upon receipt.
We reserve the right to amend any prices without any prior notice and at any time and the right to add or withdraw any product at any time.
GUIDANCE
To the extent that we are permitted by law to limit our liability to you in connection with any order, that liability will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant product(s).
DELIVERY
Your order will normally be dispatched within 7 (seven) days of placing the order. Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods within such timescales, however, some delays are inevitable. We shall not be liable for any delay that you may suffer in this regard. If you would like to view the status of your order please visit ‘Order History’ in the ‘YOUR ACCOUNT’ section of the online shop. We are authorised to share your personal information with third parties who are used to fulfil your order or satisfy our obligations to you.
CANCELLATION/RETURNS POLICY
We have the right to cancel any order you make for any product if you fail our validation or security checks. If payment has been taken you will receive a full refund and an e-mail confirmation confirming such refund to the e-mail address you provide in your registration form.
You have the right to cancel any order you make for any product (other than personalised products) purchased through the online shop and you will receive a full refund. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, return it to us within 14 (fourteen) days of receipt in an unworn/unused condition for a full refund or exchange. When returning products to us for refund or exchange, you must pay for the appropriate postage costs. If a full refund is applicable or the exchange has been caused by an error on our part then we will refund the postage you have paid on receipt of the returned product.

Please wrap products securely, fix the returns label safely to the parcel and attach appropriate postage. The Online Shop Terms are not intended to give rise to any right which is enforceable by a third party by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
